My seven year-old is way smarter than me.

Michael says that we come into the physical world as “spirits embodied,” complete and everyway and gifted with infinite wisdom. Based on all the silly things people do, I had a hard time accepting this. Then, I had the following incredible conversation with my 7-year old son, Jack during an evening tuck-in:
Me: “Jack, I love you so much. You are the best – you really are. Thanks for being here with me, you are the best!”
Jack: “Hold on, Mom. We need to talk.”
Me: “Oh yeah? About what?
Jack: “Well…it’s like this. I am not the best. I am one of many great people in this world. We don’t want any one person to the best, we want everyone to be their greatest.”
At this point was blown away. I kissed him on the cheek and realized that yes, we really are born with infinite wisdom – we just tend to forget it. Thank goodness we have kids to help us reconnect with who we really are.

Children truly do have the best insight and view on life.
“Through the mouth of a child will come the words to save us all.”
I love learning the truth children communicate. Too often underrated.
